Comments I've been recently reminded that there is no evidence showing that Bach had perfect pitch. I agree with this; however, I've also read several anecdotes stating the prodigious abilities of Bach's ear (the monumental study by Spitta has even more). In any event, as there is no conclusive evidence, I put a '?' sign next to his name. - Ed.
