Comments On the first interview [a] Steve was asked to sing an A note, which he sang perfectly (according to the interviewer). On the second interview [b], Steve said "... I transcribed for four years and it came to the point where I didn't use a guitar anymore or any instrument". So, although there is nothing confirming that he has PP, it is at least very probable. If he doesn't have PP, he certainly has an awesome level of relative pitch.

In his site, Steve admits having "perfect relative pitch". This of course only refers to his refined relative pitch; the word 'perfect' is not used in a technical sense. But this does not mean he doesn't have perfect pitch. - Ed.
